How do I use Propio with only PDF bank statements and no bank connection?
Steps to create a manual bank account and import transactions from PDF statements:
Log in to Propio.
Go to the Clients page.
Use the search bar to find the client you'd like to set up with a manual bank account.
Once located, go to the Configure section on the right-hand side and click the gear icon (⚙️).
In the top menu, click Account Mappings / Bank Account Ledger Account Edit.
Click the Create button to add a new manual account.
Fill in the required fields:
Card Type (e.g., Debit, Credit)
Account Name – this is how it will appear inside Propio
Click Create to save the account.
Close the setup window by clicking the X in the top-right corner.
Back in the Clients page, re-search the client in case the list refreshed.
Click on the organization name to open the Transactions view.
Confirm the correct client is selected – their name should appear just below the Transactions title.
Click the Import button.
Click the Upload File option.
Select the date range of the statement you’re uploading.
⚠️ Note: You must upload one monthly statement at a time.Choose the document type — in this case, select Bank Statement.
Click Select File and choose the PDF from your device.
Click Upload File to complete the upload.
Wait up to 24 hours while Propio processes the statement.
You’ll receive an email notification once the statement is available and visible in the Transactions screen.After receiving the confirmation, return to the Transactions page.
Go to the Pending tab — you’ll find the new transactions listed there, ready for validation and categorization.
