🪄 Tip: Propio supports most bank account types, including checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and investment accounts.
💡 Note: Connecting Multiple Accounts: To add more accounts, repeat the same process from the onboarding screen and generate a new link for each additional account.
⚠️ Important: Prevent Duplicate Transactions: Once transactions are being categorized in Propio, make sure to disconnect any active bank feeds in QuickBooks or Xero to avoid duplicate transaction data.
Mapping Accounts After Bank Connection
When the client completes their bank connection in Propio, you will see a “Go Setup” link under Bank Connection in the client’s profile.
Clicking Go Setup will take you to the screen where you can map each connected bank account to the corresponding account in your Chart of Accounts within the linked ledger (QuickBooks Online or Xero).
This step is important because:
It allows Propio to correctly identify which transactions belong to which ledger account.
It ensures that automated reports and categorizations are accurate.
It helps prevent errors in reconciliations and financial statements.
On the mapping screen:
The connected bank accounts will appear on the left.
On the right, you will see a dropdown menu with the ledger accounts from your Chart of Accounts.
For each row, select the ledger account that corresponds to that bank account.
Save your changes to finalize the mapping.
