How do I manage Transfer transactions between accounts in Propio?

🔢 Steps to manage transfer transactions:

  1. Select the client whose transactions you want to work with, using the dropdown at the top of the Transactions page.

  2. Go to the “Pending” tab.

  3. Identify transfer transactions.

    • Transfer transactions appear with a locked checkbox next to them (you cannot select them manually).

    • This indicates they require special matching, not regular categorization.

  4. Validate the bank account.

    • Click the dropdown in the Category field for that transaction.

    • Propio’s AI will preselect the bank account it thinks matches.

  5. Review the matching window.

    • A popup window will appear, divided into two sections:

      • Left side: Shows the original transaction details (date, amount, originating account).

      • Right side: Shows the matching transaction details from the receiving account, with amount displayed as + or depending on if it’s a deposit or withdrawal.

  6. Select the matching transaction.

    • Confirm the transaction pair by selecting the matching entry.

  7. Click “Confirm.”

    • Both transactions of the transfer will now move automatically to the Categorized tab.


🖊️ Recategorizing a transfer if needed

  • If necessary, you can go to the Categorized tab later.

  • Locate the transfer transaction and recategorize it manually if something needs to be adjusted.
