How do I Reconcile a client’s bank account in Propio?

Edited

🔢 Steps to start a reconciliation

  1. Go to the Reconciliation screen from the left menu.

  1. Select the client from the dropdown at the top.

  2. Choose the bank account you want to reconcile.

  3. Select the statement end date — this is the cutoff for the reconciliation period.

  4. Click the Start Reconciliation button.

  5. After clicking Start Reconciliation, Propio will open a popup showing progress steps:

Step 2 of 3: Calculating bank account balance...

Step 3 of 3: Getting ledger account balance...

⏳ Just wait while Propio completes the process — no action is needed here.

Once finished, the popup will close automatically and you’ll see the reconciliation summary.

📊 Review the reconciliation results

The results are shown in a report with the following details:

  • Partner Name

  • Client’s Business Name

  • Statement End Date

And in table format:

  • Each column in the table is sortable — you can organize by:

    • Ledger Account Name

    • Last Reconciled Date

    • Bank Balance

    • Ledger Balance

    • Discrepancy

This makes it easier to review and prioritize reconciliations across multiple accounts.

✏️ Editing the Bank Balance (when needed)

If you’re aware of a reason for a discrepancy (e.g., missing transactions or timing issues), you can manually adjust the Bank Balance:

  1. Click directly in the Bank Balance cell.

  2. Enter the correct value.

  3. Propio will automatically recalculate the discrepancy.

✅ If the new balance results in a discrepancy of $0, a green checkmark will appear.
You can then click Mark as Reconciled to complete the process.
