How do I use the Inbox to message my clients in Propio?
💬 What is the Inbox?
The Inbox is Propio’s centralized messaging screen. It’s split into two sections:
Left panel: A list of clients who have WhatsApp or Messenger selected as their preferred contact method.
⚠️ If the client was registered with email only, they will not appear in the Inbox list and won’t receive the messages. You can edit a client’s contact method anytime. (See how to update contact preferences)
Right panel: The conversation thread with the selected client.
🔄 How does it work?
Select a client
From the list on the left, click the name of the client you want to message.Send the first message
Type and send your first message — it will be delivered via WhatsApp or Messenger, depending on the client's selected contact method.📌 Important: This first message acts as a consent request.
The client must reply to your message before you can continue the conversation.
Until they respond, no additional messages can be sent.Receive replies
When your client replies:You’ll see a notification badge over the Inbox tab in the left navigation — helpful if you’re on another screen.
A second badge will appear on the client’s name inside the Inbox — useful if you're messaging another client at the time.
📎 Attachments
You can send and receive attachments such as:
PDFs (e.g., bank statements)
Images (e.g., receipts, photos for clarification)
Simply drag and drop the file or use the attachment icon in the message box.
