Preventing Duplicate Transactions in Propio

Disable automatic bank feeds and limit ledger access to one person: Turn off any direct bank-feed integrations in your ledger and ensure only a single, authorized user can access the ledger at any given time. This prevents automated or overlapping entries that can trigger duplicates.

Click once and wait for confirmation: After pressing Save/Submit, wait for the success message before clicking again. Rapid double- or triple-clicking is the #1 cause of duplicates.

Use bulk uploads in controlled batches: When processing in bulk, send no more than 20 transactions per batch and wait for them all to finish before continuing. After a bulk send, don’t click again until the task counter shows zero.

Keep only one Propio tab open per person: Work in a single window or tab; multiple tabs can send duplicate requests to the server and raise the risk of repeats.

Only one user per account at a time: Coordinate internally so that only one user categorizes transactions for the same client simultaneously. Parallel work by two people can create double submissions.

If you see “infinite loading,” pause and notify us: If the screen gets stuck loading, do not refresh or resend. Let us know immediately—our on-call engineer will check the queue and clear the blockage to prevent duplicates.
