How do I edit my client’s Chart of Accounts in Propio if I use Xero?
🧾 Steps to Create Chart of Accounts One by One
Make sure the client's Xero account is already connected to Propio.
If not, follow the steps in: How do I connect a new client’s QuickBooks or Xero account to Propio?
Access the client’s ledger Xero.
Log into the platform where the client’s booksAccess the Chart of Accounts:
Click on the Accounting menu.
Select Advanced, then choose Chart of accounts.
Click on Add Account.
Fill in the required fields, including Account Type, Code, Name, and Description.
Click Save to add the account.
Return to Propio and refresh the Chart of Accounts.
Go to the Clients section in Propio.
Use the search bar to find the client whose Chart of Accounts you updated.
Click the Settings icon (⚙️) on the right side of the client row.
In the top menu, click on Chart of Accounts.
Click the “Refresh Chart of Accounts” button.
🛠️ Steps to Edit an Existing Account
Access the Chart of Accounts:
Click on the Accounting menu.
Select Advanced, then choose Chart of accounts.
Find the account you want to edit, you can use the search bar in the right side and click on it.
Click Edit Account.
Update the necessary information and click Save.
Return to Propio and refresh the Chart of Accounts.
Go to the Clients section in Propio.
Use the search bar to find the client whose Chart of Accounts you updated.
Click the Settings icon (⚙️) "Configure" on the right side of the client row.
In the top menu, click on Chart of Accounts.
Click the “Refresh Chart of Accounts” button.
✅ Propio will now reflect all changes made in the accounting system.
