Basic Transaction Categorization
When new transactions come in, they land in Action Needed, waiting to be reviewed and categorized. This is your starting point for keeping your client's books current and accurate.
Steps
- Go to your client's Transactions page and click the Action Needed tab
- Find the transaction you want to categorize and click its category field
- Type a keyword to search or scroll to find the right account, then select it
- Check the checkbox on the left of the transaction row
- Click Post to finalize — the number next to the Post button confirms how many transactions will be posted
💡 Tip: You can select multiple transactions and post them all at once. Once you're done categorizing a batch, check all their boxes and click Post in one go to save time.
