Journal entries allow you to record financial transactions that don't come through a bank feed — such as adjustments, accruals, or corrections. This guide shows you how to add, edit, and post journal entries in Propio.
Steps
1. Introduction
You will learn how to add, edit, and save journal entries to accurately record financial transactions.
2. Click Add Journal Entry
Click the Add Journal Entry button to start creating a new journal entry.
3. Open Date Picker
Click the date field to open the date picker for selecting the journal entry date.
4. Enter Debit Amount
Enter a Debit amount and select an appropriate corresponding account.
5. Enter Credit Amount
Enter a Credit amount and select an appropriate corresponding account.
6. Save Journal Entry
Click the Save button to record the journal entry and update the transaction records.
7. Access Journal Entry Options
To review or edit Journal Entries, click the arrow on the left side of the transaction.
8. Select Edit Journal Entry
Click Edit Journal Entry to modify the details of an existing journal entry.
9. Update Journal Entry
Make any necessary changes and press the Update button to save changes.
10. View Transaction List
Review the list of transactions showing dates, accounts, descriptions, categories, and amounts.
11. Select Transaction Row
Click to select a specific row for further actions or review.
12. Post Transaction
Click the Post button to post the selected Journal Entry.
